To finish off December 2009

With children exhausted from playing at Grammy and Grampas we hopped back in the car and headed to my Dad's cabin in Big Bear. For the road trip we emptied the contents of the kids stockings into some reusable Disney bags they got for Christmas. There wasn't much candy in them, however, Aubrey managed to get sucker all over herself right before falling asleep.

Ok, maybe they weren't all exhausted. Liam just wanted to play. The kids traveled amazingly during our whole trip.
We got there at dusk which made the kids sad since all they wanted to do was play in the snow and it was getting too cold and icy out. (it was their first time in snow. I know, it's sad) But we distracted them with yo-yos and of course the TV.
First thing the next morning we geared them up and went into the snow. The cabin has an empty lot next to it which is awesome to play in and even has a little slope that Glenn took the kids sledding down with my snowboard.

It actually snowed a little while we were there! It was so cool! The kids were in heaven. While it was snowing the Dallin and Aubrey decorated gingerbread cookies with their Aunts, Baylee and Becka.

We had such an amazing, relazing time which was desperately needed after such a busy month. Aubrey talks about the snow pretty much every day. Needless to say we are all very excited to head up to Papa's cabin again.

Ah, kids bundled for snow, always hilarious :) Bring the poor things to Utah, they'll get a heavy dose of snow fast. I want to come to the cabin.
