There is beauty all around...

I LOVE springtime! The weather here has been kinda weird, well, normal for So. Cal. It hit 100 for a day or two, then goes down to the high 60's. Then we have earthquakes, etc. etc. Well, we were able to hit the beach on one of the really warm days & it was awesome! I hope it warms up again soon so I can get my fill before I'm on house arrest. (aka recovering from child birth) Which (tangent) I can't believe I'm 30 weeks already. It seems that I've been so pre-occupied with my other kids that this pregnancy has been flying by. I am gigantic already, and am really, really sick of people's comments that I get on a daily basis. If you've been prego, you know what comments I'm talking about. But my favorite is... "oh you poor thing, you still have 2 more months!?!" But I'm feeling good for the most part. I will have to take another belly shot.
And back to the post... I kill things. Everything from flowers to fish (our 2 fish have recently passed. RIP Perry and Dorothy). Luckily, I have managed to keep my children alive. When we decided to plant cherry tomatoes and basil in the middle of winter, I thought they had no hope. Well the basil didn't last long, but the cherry tomato plant is HUGE and producing SO many delicious tomatoes.

Look at that beauty! That was our first ripe tomato. It's big for a cherry tomato. I can't wait to have a big backyard so we can plant all kinds of things.

We have the most beautiful rose bushes around our place and they are in full bloom. While Aubs was sleeping the other day I took Dallin around to pick some. I love having fresh flowers in my house, and I'm too cheap to buy something that only lasts a few days.

But I do have to say, the BEST thing about springtime is that Glenn only has 4 more weeks of his 2nd year of Grad school!!!! Woohoo! Next year will fly by!

Easter part 2

We attempted a photo shoot on Easter morning after Sacrament meeting with the kiddos looking so cute in their Easter clothes, but it didn't go as planned. Perhaps the candy breakfast was the culprit. I love taking pictures at this golf course/clubhouse. Don't mind the golfers in the background, I don't use photoshop.

And here's Aubs all ready for the drive home wearing her new hat and carrying her cell phone purse.

We had such a great trip & loved to see everyone! It wasn't until Tuesday while reading a friends blog that I realized that we didn't explain to Dallin why we celebrate Easter. I guess there's always next year. Man, we are the worlds best parents!

Easter part 1

For Easter we went to Southern Utah to play with Glenn's parents and 2 sisters and their families. We had a great time!! The kids had a blast playing with their cousins, and Aubs seems to be a total Grampa's girl. Both kids were great on the drive up & back. On the way back we left right before bedtime hoping the kids would sleep. Aubs slept for 2 hours, then woke up and just kicked it for the rest of the ride, with an occasional giggle. It was definately a blessing since she can't stand being in her car seat for 1 minute. We took tons of pictures, but I will try to narrow them down.

Easter morning...finding baskets & egg hunt.

I'll finish posting pics later. I'm having technical difficulties.

Just for the record...

28 weeks. (sorry, it's the best picture I have. sad...I know)
Well I am officially in the 3rd trimester, and having mixed feelings about it. I'm a little bummed because I know the discomfort is coming on, but I'm excited because I'm almost not prego anymore! I can't wait to get back to normal for my extremely patient kids. Although it will be a messed up kind of normal for them since there will be another kid, but at least I will have more energy.

Prego update: (for journal purposes)

After the excrutiating 3 hour glucose test it has been determined that I do not have Gestational Diabetes. Thank goodness!

I had to get the rogahm shot today in my right butt cheek and it hurt.

Baby is really healthy

Mom is healthy and plump. A little enemic, have to start taking iron. Could it be because I can't even think about eating chicken? Gained 25 lbs already. (that is how much I gained TOTAL with each of my other 2)

Crave lemon filled donuts and Barq's root beer. (now we know the reason for weight gain)

Also crave the smell of gas and rubber. I hang out in the tire or bike section whenever I go to walmart, costco, or target. I have a little rubber bouncy Easter egg that smells like petrolium and it is delicious. I wonder if this craving will go away once I start taking the iron?

I guess all in all we are doing pretty well, and hopefully will decided on a name before the baby is born.

Catch-up

I want to post about our Easter trip, but since I have been a huge slacker when it comes to blogging, I need to catch-up on a couple things before I can.
From the time I found out I was pregnant with Dallin I have longed for the day when he would be old enough for sports. Well, that day has come. He started soccer a couple weeks ago and LOVES it! He needs to get used to the fact that there is only 1 ball on the field with a ton of kids running after it. He has more fun practicing because they all have their own ball and he doesn't have to fight for a turn to kick it. He gets super excited to show EVERYONE his "super soccer kick" (seen below)

We all love watching Dallin play, especially Aubrey. She can't wait to be old enough to play. She always grabs a ball and runs on the field kicking it. She has grown up way too fast!

I also wanted to post a picture from our General Conference party. Every conference Sunday we go to my parents house to watch and eat. After the first session we have strawberry crepes, which are the most delicious things on the face of the earth. For the October conference we have breakfast burritos since strawberries aren't in season, and they are very very close to being as delicious. After the second session, we start making dinner. I swear it's always a feast. We leave feeling sick from eating WAY too much. So this past conference, Aubs decided to join the crepe eating contest and, hands down won for her age group. (her age group would include ALL kids there ranging in age from 1 to 8) She downed 3 whole crepes, and still wanted to eat some veggie straws. Man, she really does work hard for her figure. And look at that mess! Action shot!
Totally satisfied!
