Run
Today Amber & I ran 7 miles! Go us! I never thought I would be able to do that since I have never been an runner and have always hated running. But over the last few years I have picked it up and really enjoyed it. Don't get me wrong, there are times that I still hate it, but I feel so accomplished whenever we finish a good run. We are training for a 1/2 marathon on June 5th and prior to today's run my stomach would drop whenever I looked at our running schedule and see the days with "high mileage". After this run today I totally feel like I will be fine on those practice runs and totally be able to finish the 1/2 marathon. But right now all I want to do is sit in a jacuzzi...all day.

Dead hair
Who can say they have dyed a dead lady's hair? Oh, I can!
Today has been a very interesting day. It was supposed to be my relaxing day after a very busy couple days. The only thing on my calendar was a facial (which was wonderful), then immediately after I was to watch Bo for an hour. Well, I sent Blythe to get a facial after mine and I took Allie (along with Bo, Liam & Aubrey) to her photo shoot for a friend in our ward. While there, they decided they wanted Aubrey to model too. It was really cute. I had to leave Allie & Aubrey there while I took Liam and Bo to pick Dallin up for school. As soon as I got back to the shoot my phone rang. It was my sister's boyfriend Curtis, who's a mortician. He's in a bind and needs me to dye one of his "clients" hair before they dress her tomorrow. Sooooo, I put my kids down for naps & left them with Blythe. At the beauty supply store the 2 workers were just laughing non-stop when I told them where I was headed & how nervous I was. I left there with them telling me to watch "Weekend at Bernies" afterwards and I should feel better. right.
Nervously I drove the 30 min there with Jan Lutz aka The Apron Lady, (the friend in our ward that the girls modeled for who was so so nice and offered to go with me as moral support) and she really eased my mind. We went in, got the job done & it really wasn't that bad. It was just the initial shock of "I'm touching a dead person and there's another body in the casket a few feet away!" But Jan just kept talking about how beautiful and peaceful she looked and it really helped. By the end I really didn't have a problem with it, but was still a little freaked out about the casket because I couldn't see in it. I will say that I would do it again if asked, but it's not the type of job I would seek out.
Anyway, after that I made dinner, took the kids home, put them in bed & did 1 last haircut. Aubrey didn't go to bed easily. She got up a number of times. I really need to study for my test on Tuesday, but don't think that's gonna happen. I'm exhausted!!!! So much for my relaxing day.

Bonnie Hunt Show!
Everyone needs to set their Tivos, DVRs, or in my case VHS tapes to record the Bonnie Hunt show on Monday. I know here it airs at 3pm on channel 4. This is crucial that you do this! Why? Because I am in the front row of the audience. If you can't see me when Tom Bergeron runs into the audience it's because he's sitting on top of me! Yeah, that's right. He loves me. And he thanked me during the commercial break for the back scratch. I just winked at him & gave him thumbs up and He & Bonnie laughed.
We had such a fun time at the taping. I went with my Mom, Blythe, Baylee, Brandon (Bay's friend), Becka & Cate. And unfortunately all cameras & cell phones had to be left in the car, so I have no pictures to show for it. But I do have the Bonnie Hunt show that airs on Monday to show for it!!!
When we were entering the studio they gave us all hot dogs & root beer. We noticed there weren't many seats open, but they took our group of 7 to the front row where they had saved seats for us. Apparently we were young and hip & they wanted us to be seen on camera. It was awesome. But it wasn't until the end of the show that I noticed my zipper had been down the whole time. How's that for young & hip?

Easter & Conference weekend

We had a great Easter this year. We headed up to Hurricane, UT to spend time with Glenn's family. And bonus, it was General Conference this weekend. We didn't get out of our pjs the WHOLE weekend. This conference was amazing. I feel like I got more out of it than I have my entire life. I felt like they were all talking to me telling me that I've been slacking & need to be a better mom. (of course in a wonderful, motivating, awesome kind of way) I have seriously been feeling inadequate lately, so to hear all the talks on motherhood was so inspiring and uplifting. I loved it!
Anyway, I LOVE holidays. I love seeing my kids so excited over the littlest things. We colored 7 1/2 dozen eggs total with the cousins. It was insane. Easter morning we had to wait for Aubrey to wake up. Seriously, the only morning she has slept in. We finally had to wake her up, but she was so excited for it. It was fun! Oh & Liam started crawling on Friday 4/2/10, and now he's a crawling machine.

Aubrey-isms
#1 The other day Aubrey came up to me and said "I bite". She is my child that bites (although I thought we had it under control) so I asked her who she bit. She just gave me this guilty smile and said again "I bite" pointing at her teeth. I began to get nervous, but couldn't hear any kids screaming, so was a little confused. I asked her again "who did you bite?"
"my boogas" was her response. Although relieved that it wasn't another kid, I was quite disgusted.
#2 "Aubrey are you a princess?"
"No me a princess. Me a Ho-Ho"
(ho-ho= pirate)

Trapped

Tonight I needed to clean out my car in preparation for our road trip to St. George. Dallin & Aubrey were out riding their bikes, but I couldn't figure out what to do with Liam. He's not totally crawling yet, but he's very mobile. He kinda crawls backwards. Or he rotates by getting on his hands & knees, then sitting back up in a different direction. He does lunge forward if he sees something he wants, and he rocks back & forth on his hands & knees. Anyway, I saw a box & decided to put him in that with a couple toys. (don't judge, he loved it) Before I knew it the other 2 kids had joined him. They all had a great time & I was able to complete what I had set out to do, which doesn't happen all that often these days.
Roadshow!
The last 2 nights we had our Placentia Stake Roadshow. Since I'm in with the Young Women I was kinda "strong armed" into being in it. I was asked to help choreograph the "Pants on the Ground" routine. It ended up being super fun & all the Youth & leaders in it did AMAZING! And I wasn't embarrassed at all to be in it (even though I'm such a white girl when it comes to dancing). I took Dallin to all the practices with me and he was in the Guitarzan lipsync. He was a little monkey dancing in the front with the other little kids. They had practiced so hard and all the kids did awesome & totally knew their dance moves. Dallin was so cute & full of energy up there just bouncing around dancing. He loved it!
I of course forgot my camera both nights, but stole my friend Amber's camera to snap some shots of Dallin in his costume. So I will post those when I get them. But I seriously can't get over how well Dallin did. I'm so glad we sacrificed bedtime all those nights we did because it was such a good experience for him.
