Jog-A-Thon

Dallin and Aubrey both had their Jog-A-Thon fundraiser on Friday at their two different schools. Luckily they ran at different times so I was able to go watch both of them. They both did amazingly well! Dallin has been "training" for a kids Spartan race on December 2nd which really helped him with his running. He ran 33 laps!

I was a bit worried about Aubrey because she sometimes tends to be on the lazy side but she totally surprised me and ran the whole time! I had picked out an outfit for her to wear that would be easy to run in, but when she came down that morning she was wearing a tutu. Oh well, not worth the energy to get her to change.

Grandpaul's 75th birthday!

Last weekend Glenn took the kiddos up to Hurricane, UT to participate in his Dad's surprise birthday party. I was unable to go due to being a bit too pregnant. They all had a fantastic time and wished they could have stayed longer. When I asked Liam what his favorite part of the Utah trip was he said "Getting to see Misty." Misty is Grammy and Grandpaul's dog. Dallin's favorite party was "Seeing our cousins and playing X-box". Aubrey's favorite part was "Getting toys and eating because everything was so yummy!" And Glenn's favorite part was "being able to spend time with my parents and sisters without my nagging wife." Ok, I added that last part, but I'm sure he did appreciate a break from me.

On Saturday while they were away I had my mom come over to help me make freezer meals. We spent hours working but finished 15 meals consisting of Beef Stroganoff (my favorite), chicken enchiladas, beef enchiladas, chicken pot pie, potato chicken soup (from scratch) and pot roasts. I am so excited to have these in my freezer for after I have the baby. I have been tempted to use them because they are my favorite meals, but have refrained knowing I will really be glad to have them later on. My mom is a saint for spending her Saturday helping. I also got to go to church by myself. It was weird, but I have to admit that it was nice being able to listen in Sacrament meeting.

Pregnancy update; 36 weeks

Yesterday was my 36 week mark of pregnancy. I have to say that the 3rd trimester has been way easier than my 2nd was. Today was the first day where I woke up feeling really pregnant. I had and ultrasound and Dr.'s appointment today and everything looks great. Per the ultrasound this "not so little" baby is about 7 lbs. 4 oz. She has big luscious lips and the tech even pointed out that you can see hair! I'm not sure if I believe it... One of my kids born with hair? I'll believe it when I see it. The baby was breech up until about 32 weeks. I think that was the cause of my very uncomfortable veins because once she turned they got SO much better. They still flare up if I stand or sit too long, but I have found them totally manageable. I have also been riding a stationary bike for 30 minutes/ about 6 days a week which has totally helped with me feeling good. The ultrasound today got me really excited to have her. I have never had one this far along in my pregnancy and it was amazing the detail you could see. I think she looks like Aubrey. I will update with any other pregnancy news as it gets closer! This pregnancy has flown by!

First day of school/ Dallin's award

We were all so excited and so ready for school to start. We played hard all summer and I was exhausted by the end. Dallin started 2nd grade and has a great teacher that he loves. Aubrey is at a different school in our district attending the Transitional Kindergarten program. It is fantastic! Her teacher is LDS and in our Stake and is so excited to be teaching this new program. She goes every day the same time as kindergarten. Liam was really sad that he wasn't going to school at first, but has now started saying "Now it's just you and me!" every day after we drop the older 2 off.

For the month on September Dallin was awarded the Principal's Award for "Responsibility". He really is a responsible kid and I am so proud of him for all he does. He does really well in school. I love that he has been recognized at school for his responsibility.

End of summer

I guess it's time I finish blogging about the final trip of our summer. We headed to the Las Vegas area with the boats for a fun trip to Lake Mead. It was seriously such a great way to finish the summer. The first day out on the lake was perfect. We had smooth water the majority of the day and the weather was perfect. The second day was great as well, but we had a small hiccup with a storm that was passing through. We had to hold & tie everything down while the wind blew the storm past. It lasted probably about 45 minutes or so, but once it was gone we had a nice calm after the storm and the kids got to try to ski. I was so proud of Dallin for wakeboarding (and he actually got up for a second) and Liam, my little barely 3 year old at the time, tried to ski. We all love staying in hotels and eating at the buffets. Great way to end the summer!!!
