Sunday afternoon
For those of you wondering what goes on in the Sorensen household on a Sunday afternoon you can stop the wondering. I'm sure you aren't surprised.

5 months old!!!!!
This little man is 5 months old! Can you believe it? Time flies. He is such a happy, cute little boy. He will just chill for long amounts of time as long as someone is in the room. He LOVES people. Some of his favorites being his big brother and big sister. He loves to watch them play and giggles when they walk in the room. He has started to roll both ways and is super close to sitting on his own. We all love him so much and love the joy he brings into our home. Oh, and he's our only child in diapers!!!! Woohoo!

4 month and 2 year check ups
I took Liam in for his 4 month and Aubs for her 2 year check up. Here are the stats:
Liam
Height: 26 inches
Weight: 16 lbs 3 oz
Aubrey
Height: 35 1/4 inches
Weight: 31 1/2
Yes, I have big children. Liam is actually 2 lbs less than Dallin was at that age. He feels like such a light weight.
Aubrey is one of the cutest little girls ever. She is so fun to have around. She is following in Dallin's footsteps being a social butterfly. She has to say Hi to everyone and everything and tries to strike up conversations with people. (for those of you who don't know, she doesn't speak very well yet, so it's quite humorous.) She is a brute. She can (and most likely will) tackle and take down any kid, even twice her size. We have been planning to potty train her over Thanksgiving weekend but this week she has been taking her pant and diaper off, running to the bathroom and going potty all by herself. We may not be able to wait for next weekend. She LOVES anything having to do with a baby. She pushes her stroller and baby around everywhere she goes. We are so greatful to have her in our family and can't believe she is such a big girl already!

2 birthdays and a Wedding!
Wow! Last week was crazy packed with fun stuff! Bear with me as I re-cap as quickly as possible. To start it out we celebrated Glenn's birthday by doing what we love and heading on down to Disneyland. It was an awesome day! Dallin went on Soarin and LOVED it. It's his new favorite ride. He also did the Jedi Academy for the first time and was so cute and did such a great job. I wish Glenn could ditch work everyday so we could hit up D-land.

Onto birthday #2. Aubrey's 2nd birthday. Her birthday was the same day as the wedding so we celebrated the day after. We were all pretty exhausted from the weeks events so we had a very low key party. We had Sunday dinner at my parents then cake, presents and a pinata (filled with halloween candy). She loved being the center of attention and especially loved opening the presents! She is such a cute little girl.

Now the wedding. For those of you who don't know, my brother Kirk got married. It was such an awesome day! Absolutely beautiful! The wedding was in a garden at the Nixon Library and the reception was at our church building. I can't get over how awesome everything and everyone looked. The garden was beautiful, the hall was decorated amazingly and the bride and groom were gorgeous! Oh, and the flower girls and ring bearer were adorable! (2 of which were my children) I do have to brag that I made the flower girl dresses. They turned out really well (I don't use patterns so I'm surprised they turned out at all) But I'm so excited for Kirk and Rachael and so excited to have her as a sister-in-law. I will post more pics once I have them.

My cute 4 month
Although we are so busy, life has been great. Glenn's doing well in his last year of school. Dallin is loving pre-school and Aubrey is so full of energy. But this post was meant for my 4 month old cute little boy. I'll be honest, he's a screamer. When he's not happy, everyone knows it. But when he's not screaming he's the happiest, cutest smiley little guy ever! I love his chubby little cheeks. His brother and sister love him to pieces and Aubs still tries to feed him everything she's eating and still tries to shove his plug down his throat (she keeps track of where all his plugs are). But she has gotten a lot better and I can even walk out of the room for a minute without fearing for his life. He's super strong and LOVES to play with toys. He has been able to roll from his tummy to back for about a month, but not back to tummy yet. He's quite the talker and loves to use his vocal cords. It's super cute. We love him so much! Happy 4 month birthday tomorrow little man!

Cute video
Glenn started his last year of grad school this past week. I have totally mixed feelings about it. As much as I don't like when Glenn is in school, I am really excited that it is his last year. I am getting used to having 3 kids although I feel there is never any down time and the house is really hard to keep clean. (mostly because of Aubrey following me unloading everything I put away) Well there's really no point to this blog but I did want to post this cute video of Liam.

Another Dallin-ism
It seems like my only blogs are quotes from Dallin, but honestly, they are the easiest and fastest things to record. Soooooo, yesterday I took Dallin to Disneyland. Just mother and son. I made the mistake of taking him on Tower of Terror as our first ride. he didn't like it very much. We moved on to more "Dallin appropriate" rides and I thought he would love Soarin over CA. We get to our seats, he saw the seat belt (very similar to the one on Tower) and FREAKED OUT! I had to ask the worker how to get out. She told me to go back the way we came in. I told Dallin if he didn't calm down we would go home. That made him full on lose it. I would have to say it was the worst tantrum I have ever seen any child throw. He screamed bloody murder the whole way back out and all I could do was giggle. Once on the tram, and once calm, Dallin says "Mommy, I'm really really sorry. I left my manners at home." Now that's my son. The sweet, caring little guy. I do have to say that I take full responsibility for the tantrum. He doesn't throw tantrums, he was just so scared from going on Tower (the ride I had forced him to go on. I know, I know, Mom of the year.)
On a different note, we had our primary program today. It was Dallin's first time being in one. He was the first kid to say his part, which was pretty long for a Sunbeam, but he totally nailed it. He said it slow and clear and into the mic. The primary president told me after that he was the only kid that had memorized his parts. During the intro to one of the songs Dallin took the opportunity to have a solo and start the song 2 measures before the rest of the primary. It was really funny & cute. Everyone busted up laughing. I was told after that he started at the spot they had practiced, but the pianist played 2 extra measures. My smart kid! The rest of church was fun because everyone I walked by would just chuckle and comment on how cute Dallin is. He is such a good kid and I am so grateful to have him as an example for my other kiddos.

2 months!
Liam turned 2 months on the 5th. Here are his stats from his checkup yesterday:
Height: 23 1/2, 75%
Weight: 14lb 8oz, 95%
Yep, he's a big boy. He has become so stinkin smiley, I love it! He was a pretty cranky baby until this past Monday. He totally changed into this super sweet, cute little angel. I guess he overcame his newborn gas or something.

First day of pre-school!
That's right! I have a child old enough to go to pre-school. And I'll be honest I am very excited about it. Yes, I know, I'm a bad mom for not being sad that my baby is going to school, and I'm an even worse mom for forgetting my camera to document this momentous occasion, but at least I know he's doing something productive and not just sitting around watching tv or playing on the computer all day. He did have a great first day but in the car on the way home he said...
"Mommy, I love you and I want you to stay with me at school next time"
I did enjoy hearing that.

Dallinism- yet again
Dallin went with Gia (my mom) to pick Baylee up from school today. My mom takes a few other kids home. One kid, Logan, was playing with Dallin the whole way to his house. When Logan got out of the car Dallin says "Logan is so crappin' funny"
Yep, that's my 4 year old!

Dallin-ism
We stopped at a light on our way home from church today and Dallin says "I know what that says. It's T-A-P-S." (spelling it out)
Me "Good job, and what does that spell?"
Dallin "Ummm, dinner!"
For those of you who don't know, Taps is a nice restaurant that he has never been to. And yes, I wish it was dinner!

Pine Flat 2009
Glenn and I decided last minute to join my family on the houseboat trip for a couple days this year. We weren't going to go since Liam is so young and since Glenn has taken so much work of this summer, but we are so glad we did. We all had a blast. We had 4 wave runners, 2 canoes and my dads boat. My Aunt Linda's Honda wave runner was awesome! I got it up to 66mph. It was super fun being with family doing two of my favorite things...hanging out on the lake & eating non-stop. I can't wait for next year!!!!
