Genius!

That is what my 2 1/2 year old son is. Pure genius! Of course I'm bias, but honestly, how many kids his age can put a 24 piece puzzle together like it's nothing at all? This kid is obsessed with puzzles and is quite good at them. And here's my genius posing for a picture where I told him to give a thumbs up. Okay, so he's not a genius, big deal! She is getting so big, so fast. But she's so much fun.

She sure loves her Daddy and he sure loves her!

These are the Brea hills. I love the overcast/rainy weather. Look at how beautiful and green the hills are. The best thing about this picture is knowing that when the clouds move there will be snow covered mountains behind the green hills. I love this place!

2 months already!

Can you believe it? I sure can't! Aubrey had her 2 month check up today where she got 4 shots. She wasn't very happy, and was having a very difficult time until I pumped Tylenol in her. She's such a sweet baby that rarely cries that days like today make me feel so bad. Anywho, she weighed in at 12 pounds 8 oz. A whole 2 pounds less than Dallin did at this age. And she measured 22 3/4 inches long. She's in the 90th % for weight, and 70th % for height. She is such a wonderful baby. I know I say that all the time, but she just amazes me.

I just thought this was a cute picture.

This too! Doesn't Aub look comfy!?!

The other day Dallin and I were playing with Play-Do. We try to make animals, which turn out to be unrecognizable. Well Dallin decided he wanted to make Daddy. This was the result:

I'm sorry, but I thought that was the funniest thing ever. I had to take a picture to show Glenn what his son thought of him. Of course Dallin really meant for it to look like Daddy, not what it really looks like, but I couldn't help myself.

This is a picture of Aubrey in her blessing dress. She hasn't been blessed yet due to an emergency surgery Glenn's dad had right before Christmas, so we postponed it until February. I am obsessed with this dress. I think it is the cutest thing. I put her in it for my grandmothers funeral since it was a special occasion, but was paranoid the whole time she was wearing it. I just knew she would explode in it since it's dry clean only. Fortunately, nothing bad happened to the dress. The tights on the the other hand, let just say desperately needed to be laundered. I sure hope it still fits her for her blessing day!

Long time

I didn't realize how long it has been since I last posted. We have been insanely busy with about a million things going on. I'm sure this post will be a novel, but in the words of my good friend Sara "Please note that I will be doing this post for my "journal purposes" more than anything, so some items may be of no interest" Looking through pictures I realized that I haven't taken nearly enough over the past few weeks.

We had a wonderful Christmas. On Christmas eve we went to the Happiest Place on Earth. It was a little crowded, but not too bad. We had a lot of fun going on the Buzz Lightyear ride twice, watching the Jedi training, and of course we can't leave the park without cruising on Pirates. On Christmas morning, we woke up to see what Santa had brought us. Dallin was more than excited when he opened his Buzz Lightyear. We then went to my parents for a very early dinner, then to Holly & Dean's for a later dinner where Dallin and Glenn rocked out playing Rock Band with all the guys.

Glenn took a couple days off work around Christmas allowing us to do fun things. We were able to take Dallin & Aubrey on their first hike to a spot where you can view the Newport Beach temple. Dallin had a blast and he loves seeing the temple.

Look at that double chin! She is getting so chubby! Aubrey is such a happy baby. She loves smiling, talking and has just started giggling at Dallin. She has made the adjustment to having two pretty easy.

On December 30th my wonderful, sweet grandmother passed away peacefully in her sleep. She had been struggling with many ailments for the past few months. We had her services on January 4th which were beautiful. It was wonderful to have all the family together. We love her very much and she has been, and will continue to be missed.

The last few weeks really have been a blur with sick kids, Glenn going back to school, I've started doing hair again, potty training Dallin, the funeral, Glenn's dad having emergency surgery and many other things. Aubrey's blessing has been postponed to the first Sunday in February due to unforseen events. During these crazy times I'm just so greatful I have a wonderful husband and awesome children. They make my life so enjoyable.
