My little man

I know this post is a week late, but last Saturday was Dallin's 4th birthday. We had a great day! We started the day by going to the donut store for breakfast. Usually when we get donuts (which isn't as often as it sounds) we just pick them up & bring them home. But Dallin really wanted to eat them there, and since it was his birthday, that's what we did.

All Dallin had been wanting to do was go to Chuck E Cheese. I hate that place. I tried everything in my power to go somewhere else. I know, selfish, I know. He didn't even want to go to Disneyland. Just Chuck E Cheese. So guess where we ended up going? And it wasn't as bad as I expected. They have changed it so much since I worked there 13 years ago. The kids (and Glenn) had a blast!

After all the excitement, we went home for cake & presents. Dallin couldn't even eat the cake he was so excited to play with his new toys.

Dallin is such a sweet little/big boy and is such a joy in our family. He LOVES to talk and use his immagination and is a total crack up! He loves anything & everything Star Wars, and is so excited to have another baby in the house. He talks to my tummy and says "Don't worry Liam, you'll be here soon." and then waits for Liam to start kicking him.
Happy 4th birthday buddy!!!! We love you so much!!!!!!

TMI

Warning: this blog may consist of information that you may not want to know. But, it's MY blog & I will share what I want.

I had my 37 week prenatal check up today and I am 3 cm dilated! I just have to share my excitement with everyone! I know I can be at a 3 for weeks, but just to know that my body is already preparing for the birth is exciting. My Dr. told me that once labor begins I need to go straight to the hospital since she thinks I will go fast. I sure hope that's the case, but I'm not getting too set on it.

Boredom!

I just need to complain for a second. Both of my kids are sick. Dallin with the most hideous case of the flu that I've ever seen, and Aubrey with a cold. All day yesterday Dallin was complaining of a headache, to the point where he wanted the birds outside to be quiet. So I assumed he had a migraine. And his temp was 102. So I called the Dr considering he is not even 4 (1 day away) and complaining of a migraine. The Dr totally scared me into taking him to the ER by mentioning menengitis. So we were in the ER from about 11-2 last night. He's fine other than he has started ralphing & still has a fever. He slept roughly from 2 to about 8:30, then was awake complaining again. He finally fell back asleep at 11:30am and is still asleep at 3:15pm. Aubrey went down at about 10 this morning and is still asleep. She has been up coughing a lot.
Don't get me wrong here, I'm very happy my kids are sleeping, but I am SO bored! There's only so much reading, sleeping and cleaning I can do in my small corner that I've been banned to. I have been playing on the computer for what seems like hours and can't think of anything else to do! So, why not do a blog complaining about how bored I am? Sounds good to me!

Sprinkle

For mutual this week we had a party for the Laurel's that will be graduating and heading off to college. It was 80's themed, but of course only 4 people dressed up (Dallin being one of them). And the other 3 were leaders. I thought the girls would be all about dressing up 80's, but it seems to just be a normal thing for them. We had a killer spread of food including a couple 3 foot burrito's, taquitos, rice & beans, etc. It was delish!

I know I swore I wasn't going to post any more prego pics of me because I'm gigantic, but I couldn't not post this. It scares me how much I look like my mom when she was prego in the 80's. This is Kelsey, Kellie, and I (the 3 who dressed up) having flashbacks of how things really were in the 80's. I love that Kellie is being hidden by my belly.
After the Laurel's opened their presents, I was suprised with a baby sprinkle. It was so awesome of them and I totally needed that to help me get excited to birth this baby. Kelsey made me an awesome labor & delivery gown that I'm totally excited to wear at the hospital. I'm not going to post any pics of me opening presents because they are seriously all hideous. My belly is completely resting on my lap in them. So gross, I will spare you all.

We have such awesome young women & such a fun group of leaders. I always look forward to our mutual activities.

Random pictures

I just uploaded all the pictures from my camera and found lots of randoms that I wanted to post.

My birthday dinner at my parents house a couple weeks ago. My mom made me a strawberry shortcake. Mmmmmmmmmm!!

We got a new baby swing and brought the old one out to throw away, but before it made it to the trash it was discovered by 2 littles. This swing provides hours of entertainment.

Glenn was getting Aubs dressed and this was the result. She thought it was the funniest thing!

School's out for summer!

I just have to express my excitement for tonight being Glenn's last night of class for the quarter!!!!! He's off for the summer & doesn't have to go back until the beginning of October. And he only has 3 quarters left until graduating!!!!! Hooray!!!! I'm so proud of how well he has done so far in this program. Especially while juggling his family, calling & work. Yippee for getting back to a quasi normal life, although temporarily!

36 weeks....

HOLY COW! I can't believe I'm 36 weeks already! Man, time flies by when you have to chase after 2 little ones. I'm gonna be completely honest in this post. Not to complain, but to document. This last week has been REALLY rough. Monday I went into the Dr. for a normal prenatal visit. I told her I was having some bad pain in my lower abdomen. They tested for a UTI, but wouldn't get the results for 2 days. She told me to go to the hospital if it got worse. Well, the rest of the day I wasn't able to function. Luckily I live by my parents and was able to crash at their house while my kids were being taken care of. That night I put the kids in bed at my parents and headed to the hopital. After 1 1/2 hours of monitoring, and a urine analysis (sorry if it's TMI) the nurse came back in, said I was fine & could go home. I asked why I was in pain and she said "It could be muscles, ligaments, the baby's head pushing on something. It will only get worse with every pregnancy." Great. So I left the hospital feeling like I was crazy. I tried to tuff through the week, but Thursday was unbearable. I again crashed at my parents house, called the Dr. and was told just to take it easy and put heat on my stomach. (the worst days of course landed when Glenn had school) Yesterday my awesome husband called in sick to work (which he RARELY does) and took Dallin to his sports class, then took them to Ikea to play, and of course shop. I spent the whole day on the couch with my book, and the TV. It was great. I am feeling much better now, but can tell that the pain is not too far away. We have concluded that the baby has dropped putting pressure on my ab muscles causing spasms & some muscles to be pulled. Fun stuff! I sure hope this kid doesn't want to stay in too much longer. After all, 1 more week and I'm considered full term! Woohoo!!!! But I want to publicly thank my Mom for all she has done for me this week. My friends who helped clean my house, or bring me an awesome lunch. And Glenn for taking over our household. I am surrounded by awesomely amazing people!!!!!
