Prego update

I am pleased to announce that at 35 weeks I am finally starting to get excited to birth this baby. Prior to this milestone I was anxious to not be pregnant, but not wanting to have a newborn. I give credit to my doula and Ina May's guide to childbirth which I have just begun reading again in preparation for this birth.
Just FYI, everything is going great with this pregnancy. (other than the extreme lack of energy that I have complained of in prior posts) Also, don't expect any more prego pics of me. At least not before I have the baby. I am gigantic and cringe when I see myself in pictures and I don't want to subject anyone to that.

It's about time...

I thought I would finally finish posting pics from our Memorial Day weekend. The weekend was crammed with fun. Unfortunately I didn't take nearly as many pictures Sunday & Monday as I did at the beach on Friday.

We had dinner at the Ormond's to celebrate Shelley's birthday, but Shelley ended up missing the dinner. At least she made it for the cupcakes!

On Monday we (the kids & I. Glenn had too much homework) attended an awesome BBQ with a huge spread of food. It was delicious!!!! (even though I had to take 2 days to recover from whatever didn't agree with me.) Dallin and Fisher were in the pool for at least 5 hours straight. Everyone had a blast! Thanks for hosting Carrie & Matt!!!!!!

Another Dallin quote...

Dallin is obsessed with knowing what street we are on when driving, or which freeway we are on and how many freeway's we have to take to get to our destination. He's actually getting pretty good with street names. Tonight we were driving and he asked what street we were on.
I answered "Yorba Linda"
His response, with a squinty eye and puzzled look "MY-ba Linda?"
Glenn and I got a good kick out of it and I had to hurry and blog it so I didn't forget.

Last week we made a Costco trip. On the way we stopped at Carls Jr and I got one of their delicious orange cream shakes. Dallin had asked if he could have a sip and I told him he had to wait until we got there so Aubrey couldn't see. (otherwise she would be screaming the rest of the trip. She wants EVERYTHING that Dallin has)
So we get to Costco and Dallin comes around to my door and says "Mommy, can I have the rest of your drink?" Since there was seriously only 1 sip left I said okay. After he finished my shake he looks up at me, hands me the cup and says "Mommy, thank you for letting me have the rest of your shake."
He is such a polite little boy. He makes sure to thank everyone for everything, and always says "excuse me" before he talks to someone. He has such an awesome personality and I can't believe he's almost 4!!!!!!

Sweet Friday

We had a super busy, but super fun day on Friday. It started with Dallin's intro to sports (see previous post) then we headed to the beach for a few hours, then to Spagetti Factory for some deliciousness. Mmmmmmmmmmmm! Shelley came into town to celebrate her birthday and get in free to Disneyland, and she arranged this day with our AWESOME friends from high school (that we still hang out with). To be honest, I was a little overwhelmed with the thought of such a long day, with non-napped kids when I have had no energy to do anything. And my husband was the only one that didn't go to the beach. (but he did meet us at Spag. Fac.) But thanks to all my amazing friends & their husbands, Dallin was still able to have a blast playing in the water while I got to chill and lounge in the sun! Luckily Aubs was in a great mood and just hung out with the girls most of the time. We had a total kick back awesome day!!!
It's amazing how quickly this group of friends is growing. There have been 4 kids born within the last 4 months, and 1 more on the way. The total in our group was 9 adults to 8 kids! Holy cow, the kids will be out numbering us soon!!!! And the oldest is 4! So enjoy what pics I'm posting, but I have to get clearance before posting most since people are in their bathing suits.
How many babies do you see? There's 3 of the 4. Jude, Brysen and Caeden
This little girl thinks I lugged this 500lb. chair across the sand for her! Ha!

Holly and Adriane. Don't they both look amazing! Holly had twins 4 months ago and Adriane had a baby only 5 weeks ago and you can't even tell! They make me sick!
The missing baby, Alex!
Carrie, Ty, Dallin & Fish playing with the army guys
They don't know this, but Ty & Aubs are going to have an arranged marriage. I hope they continue to like each other, for their sakes.
The Ormond fam & Shelley. Apparently they found where we were located by my gigantic belly. I'm glad I could be of service.
It's sad that the tannest one in the picture lives in Utah!
Adult-ish section of the table.

The table that never ends. What you can't see is all the infant seats at the very end of the table. It really looked crazy and our server may have hated us.

Sports

I decided to finally take my camera to Dallin's "Intro to Sports". This week was baseball and Dallin LOVED it. He got a little bored while waiting in line for his turn to catch/throw, run the bases & hit. I was a little lazy when taking pictures, so most of them are from the top of the bleachers, and Dallin is all the way across the gym. I did finally get up to take pictures of him hitting the ball. He got a killer hit on the last pitch. Way to go Dallin!!!
(Sorry, this picture is a little blurry, but that's the swing that resulted in the killer hit)

Rock the Vote!

Just a reminder to all Californians to get out and vote NO on all the tax hikes today! Let's send all the props back to the corrupt polititians and force them to re-write them!

I have decided to return from my blogging hiatus. It's not that I haven't had anything to blog about, I've just been really really lazy, and exerting every last bit of energy on my kids and house. So here are some potential blog topics that I could have done over the last few weeks:

-Dallin finished soccer & got the coolest trophy ever. Papa, Gia & Baylee all came to his last game & saw him get the trophy. He loved having them there.

-Beach trips

-Primary temple trip

-Playing at the park with friends

-Playing in Allie's little pool (almost every day)

-Aubs is 18 months & such a sweetheart. (more on her later)

-Dallin started Intro to Sports. Note: he is much better at basketball than soccer. We'll see about baseball next week.

-About 3 weeks left until Glenn is done with school for the summer!!!!!!

-Grateful to have a husband that picks up my slack.

-And I could always blog about my pregnancy. I'm not a fan of being pregnant. I respect the miracle of it all, but don't always enjoy it. Or that I have been breaking out like mad, and feel gigantic. And have NO energy because I can't sleep very well.

-Or that I'm ready to not be prego anymore, but not ready to have a newborn again.

-Or I could blog about how I woke up to a spider crawling across my face last night... I hate spiders.

But for now, I'm just going to leave it at this. Maybe someday I'll come back to this list & elaborate a little, but probably not.
