Dallin's kindergarten Holiday program

I went to Dallin's Holiday program a couple days ago. It was super cute! I love watching him perform because he's so happy when he's doing so.

Naples Boat Tour

We took the young men & young women over to Naples, Long Beach for our mutual activity last week. It was super fun! I love driving the boats through the little water-ways and looking at all the beautiful (huge) houses decorated for Christmas. We had an awesome turnout and one of my young women said "this was the best mutual activity EVER!" That made me feel really good considering this was a pretty stressful activity to plan. But totally worth it! I love working with the youth of the church. Probably because my maturity level is stuck somewhere in my teens. maybe? But I am so thankful for all the leaders that helped with the boats and made the activity run so smoothly.

Some of the youth got a hold of my camera while I was driving the boat. The pictures are really funny, but they are very lucky that I'm a nice person and have decided not to post them on my blog. As for an "end of the year" slide show, it's very possible they may end up in it.

Oh...Michael

Confession: I have a MAJOR crush on Michael Buble. Glenn knows and is ok with it, as long as I'm ok with his fascination with Carrie Underwood.
With this being said, Glenn and I went to the Micheal Buble concert last night at the Honda Center. It was AMAZING...might I even venture to say MAGICAL. We had such a great time together. We started the night with dinner at BJ's, (where I probably gained 5 lbs, but it was worth every one). And finished the night taking pictures of ourselves in the car waiting for traffic in the parking lot to move. Unfortunately I didn't take my camera in, so all I have to document the night are these. (and a few more, but I thought I'd spare you)



It was such a great concert. I find him thoroughly entertaining although a bit raunchy at times. But I had a smile on my face the whole night. I love being with my favorite person listening to my favorite music.

Meeting Santa

My kids have been talking about meeting Santa for weeks, and trying to figure out what to tell him they want. Finally the day arrived and we headed to the mall after picking Dallin up from school. I was worried about Liam being afraid of him. While we were in line Liam was cranky, which was not a good sign, but Dallin and Aubs were super excited...until we were next in line and Aubrey's meltdown started. When it was our turn Liam walked right on up to Santa and sat on his lap. Aubrey calmed down with the promise of ice cream later and agreed to sit next to Santa. And of course while Dallin had no problem talking Santa's ear off, telling him he wants his own computer, and Leapster 2, and something else I can't remember right now. So it ended up being a success other than Liam refusing to smile, and not having any socks on (he got them wet earlier and I didn't have an extra pair).

On the way home I spotted a neighbors house with tons of pretty leaves and decided to do a little photo shoot since my kids rarely look this nice. Here are the results. These haven't been doctored, but if anyone wants to improve them with photoshop and send me the results, that would be awesome. I'm photoshop illiterate.

Oh Christmas tree...

Last Monday for Family Home Evening we had a little lesson on the true meaning of Christmas then headed out to get our Christmas tree. This is my favorite time of year for so many reasons. Having a yummy smelling Christmas tree is one of them. I get a little giddy while picking out a tree, tying it to the car, driving it home and decorating it. It just makes me very happy. On the way to get the tree I turned the camera around and snatched a shot. Here's what I got...

Liam's new favorite thing to do is stick his finger up his nose. Not to pick, it just lingers there. Lovely!

I need to post a picture of our decorated tree. It's kinda ghetto. We need a lot more ornaments, and the ones we have are all at the top, out of kids reach, but I love that we have kids in the house, so I'm not complaining. I love our tree!

Hurricane

While we were in Hurricane we did some fun things. We took the kids and Kingston (our nephew) to Zion National Park. It was so so cold but so so beautiful. I'm just glad Glenn thought to pack up our snow clothes. While up there Aubs told us she had to throw up, so that's what the last picture is.









Glenn & I also got to have a date night after we put the kids down one night. We went to the Hurricane cinemas and saw Harry Potter. And the next day we took the kids to see Tangled. It's my new favorite Disney movie. I LOVED it. And all the sat so well during the movie...even Liam, it was awesome.

On Sunday morning we woke up to snow on the ground in Hurricane. Must have snowed just for Grandpa and Greyson's birthday. We have never been there when it has snowed. Apparently it only does about once or twice a year, and it's a very light snow that melts in a few hours. Well, that's what happened. The snow was gone by noon, but we loved it while it lasted.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving this year was really small, compared to what we are used to. We headed up to Hurricane, UT to spend it with Glenn's parents. His only sister to make it was Cristy, and her 3 kids. We had a great time. While sitting at the table Aubrey, my delicate flower (and super gassy child) decided to let one fly that lasted about 15 seconds. (is that ok to post on a blog?) Anywho, it was hilarious and made for a total memorable Thanksgiving dinner.

Liam's first haircut

I happened to pick a day to cut Liam's hair when he was teething and super grumpy. He fought almost every cut. It wasn't my best haircut, but I'm just happy we both made it out alive.

Aubrey turns 3!

Aubrey's birthday fell on a Sunday this year, so in true Heagle/Sorensen fashion, we turned Sunday dinner into her birthday party. Makes for a super easy party and of course there's tons of people there. (I have 7 siblings. All but 2 were there.)
This year since Aubrey is obsessed with Princesses and Tinkerbell and girly things like that, I wanted to make it a girly party. So I made Princess wand Rice Kripsy stars, cake pops, and a leaning Princess castle cake. (I am in no way a cake decorator) Aubrey loved it all! And didn't notice/care that the cake was flawed. This year when asked what she wanted for her birthday she said "babies, LOTS of them". So, we got her 3 baby dolls, dress up clothes, a barbie, Tinkerbell (the movie). She also scored a Snow White doll, pillow pet, and coloring books and socks.
Aubrey is such a joy in our home. She has so much personality and is our little "free spirit". She loves to dance and sing (and I love to watch her). She twirls and kicks and is so graceful. I need to get her in dance. She loves her brothers! And she thinks she is Liam's mom, bossing him around and enforcing whatever I tell him to do.
One funny story about Aubs: A couple months ago we were watching TV and Liam kept pushing the power button turning the TV off. Aubrey's solution "Let's just cut his arms off, then he can't turn the TV off anymore". That's my sedistic little girl. It just made perfect since to her. Get rid of the arms and the TV stays on.
Aubrey makes me smile. Just watching her move & play and dance I smile. We all love her so much. Happy birthday Aubs!!!
