I just have to do a quick post to say that tonight was my favorite night EVER on American Idol. Not because of the contestants, but because Neil Diamond was the mentor. I grew up listening to him, and my kids will grow up listening to him. He is my American Idol.

Pretty hair & a lizard
Most people that know me, know that I don't like animals, or insects, or amphibians, etc. It's not a fear, I just don't like them. So with that, here's my story...
I sat down on my couch to feed Aubrey today, and saw something out of the corner of my eye. I new it was something that wasn't supposed to be there, so I cautiously turned my head and saw this big, fat, ginormous lizard. It was practically iguana size! I froze. Had no idea what to do. I called my brother, who came over super fast & caught it. He is a pro lizard catcher, but this one got him shaking a bit. Thank goodness for Kenny being down from BYU, and thank goodness for living so close that he could make it over before it moved.
My hero, and my pretty little girl.

I do have to admit that I would prefer the lizard to the wolf spider we found in our AZ house.
**disclaimer** I do not take ANY credit for Kenny's hair looking like an old woman's shampoo set. He did that all on his own!

Water party!
Since the weather lately has been AWESOME, Dallin and I decided to have a water party at Gia and Papa's. We had Abby & Allie come play with us. First we washed my disgustingly filthy car, then had sprinkler time. Here are some pics from the fun day.
Here are some more pics of the kids playing.
I swear they all climbed in the cages on their own.
Sorry, you have to tilt your head to watch this. I love how they all freeze at the end.

If I knew you were comin' I'd a baked a cake!

Oh wait, I did. I was watching Martha Stewart sometime last week and saw her and a guest making this cake. It was Martha Washingtons favorite back in the day. Since then, I have been wanting to make it. We celebrated my brothers birthday on Sunday, so finally I had my chance. Although it doesn't look exactly like Martha's, it was delicious none the less.

I used to feel like I was super-mom. I was able to keep the house clean, feed my kids, bathe my kids, play with my kids, work out, do the laundry and have dinner ready and waiting for Glenn all in the same day. As of about 2 weeks ago, my super-mom-ness came to a crashing halt. What caused it, you ask? Sick kids = lack of sleep. Now I'm grumpy, tired, and not all that fun to be around. Just ask Glenn. For about the last 6 nights Aubrey has woken up every hour to hour & a half. She has been horribly sick. She caught the cold that Dallin had, and she apparently is susceptible to croup also. I didn't know that a 4 1/2 month old could get croup. We did the whole routine, run the hot shower, etc. The nurse that returned our call in the middle of the night was nice and calm, seeming like it was no big deal, which really calmed my fears. We managed to take care of it with NO steroids and no Dr.'s visits! (but still a whole lot of worry) Last night I actually got a stretch of sleep equalling a little over 3 hours. It's amazing how much good that little amount of sleep has done for me. I'm still far, far, far away from becoming super-mom, but I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. But can I just say that my son really, really cracks me up. Here are some random pictures, and I'll explain them as I post them.

Dallin recently discovered that kids play in the backyard next to ours. He watches them, then runs in to tell me what they are doing, play by play. He is a total Peeping-Tom! (notice the dirt on his nose) Fortunately for me it keeps him occupied for a really long time.
Flashback! He found these the other day and actually wanted to wear them. I guess he doesn't remember the time he HAD to wear them.
Here he is taking Allie for a ride. He's trying to figure out what to do since the fence is in front of him.
His obsession with sitting in boxes started long ago. I don't quite understand it.
Now this really had me busting a gut. Dallin loves eating plain noodles. He decided that he really wanted to ride his bike, but he really wanted to eat noodles. So, there you have it, a way to do both at the same time.
Okay, enough with Dallin. Here are some pictures of our little of our little Angel... before she was sick.

She's not as funny as Dallin yet. But she's dang cute! Hopefully she'll be feeling better, and back to her happy little self soon!

Easter in Hurricane!
This year for Easter we went up to Hurricane to visit with Glenn's family. Our vacation started out a bit rough. We planned to leave at about 7am on the Friday before Easter. At about 1:30am Dallin woke up having a croup attack. We immediately take him into the bathroom, run the hot shower, and call the Dr.'s office. A nurse calls back, listens to Dallin over the phone and tells us to take him to the ER. Get to the ER, he's breathing better, and I'm told there's going to be a few hours wait. Leave ER & buy a cool mist humidifier. Get home around 4am, settle Dallin in, and get to bed around 4:15am. At 5:30am, Aubrey wakes up to eat. Feed her and pass back out. Woke up at 8:00am, took Dallin to the Dr., ended up leaving around noon our time. It took us 9 hours to get to Hurricane! Needless to say, we were exhausted. The next day, we layed around trying to recoup. Colored eggs, and went to Glenn's old mission companions house for dinner. It was a nice, kick back day.

On Sunday night, Glenn & I left the kids behind and stayed in a suite at the Abbey Inn in St. George. It was so nice. They had a jacuzi tub that I stayed in for a really long time. I forgot to take the camera, so no pictures of the room, but it was AWESOME!!!
Monday we went to the driving range with Grampaul. We love going there. This was the first time that Dallin actually could enjoy it. Here are some pics...

We had a great time in Hurricane! Thanks Grammy & Grampaul! (and Aunt Cristy, Aunt Shawna, and cousins)
