Right before school got out Liam & Aubrey played soccer on the city league. Aubrey pretty much dominated and lead the pack the whole time but Liam has some mad soccer skills. He's the type of kid that will be able to play any sport and it will just come naturally to him. Both of them had a blast.
My brother Kyle's fire station had an open house that we attended in June. The things they had for kids to do was way cool. Dallin's favorite was the rock wall (of course) and Aubrey and Liam were both pretty stoked about the Sparky the fire-dog. They had an earthquake simulator, and different presentations. They showed how they use the jaws of life, then set a car on fire and Kyle showed how to use the hose to put it out. It was fun to see. Other than it being insanely hot, it was great.
Then we had Dallin's birthday & baptism, which will have it's own post.
We have spent a lot of time at the beach & pool this summer. Oh, we did hit up a couple splash pads too. The only pictures I have from any of that are from Aunt Rachael. I have been a total slacker when it comes to pics this summer.
Now that Dallin is a cub scout we were able to join them on a field trip. It was to a place where they raise up and sell show horses. They gave us a tour and told us all about the horses.
On 7-11-13 we met up with the Ormonds and their cousins to grab a free slurpee and head to Craig park. It started raining on us so we headed home for naps then swimming.
Liam was in swimming lessons. He can totally swim on his own now, but he won't. I refuse to put floaties on him so he pretty much just hangs out in the shallow end unless he can find a noodle or tube or other floatation device. Have I mentioned that he's our stubborn one?
Dallin signed up to volunteer for swim lessons. He's awesome.
We had a super fun day at the Miller's with the Ormonds. Carrie helped the kids make Harry Potter wands and we swam and played for hours!
Liam fed Reese some Multi-grain cheerios that ended up all over the floor and Reese rolled through them. And got a quick bath in the sink.
I have a friend who lives in Ladera Ranch, which is one of the coolest communities. The whole city/community has access to like 18 different pool, a skate park, and a ton of other things. Well, they invited us to go down to their water park one day. It was amazing! We stayed for like 6 hours. Best part is they have lifeguards that are over protective so I didn't have to be neurotic and could sit back and relax a bit.
My best friends from High School. Love them!
We went to Mormon Night at Angel Stadium. This picture was taken under the big A.
Aubrey went to a cheer camp for a Fullerton High School fund raiser. We now have a wanna-be cheerleader on our hands. She was actually really good! It was so cute to watch. She gets to cheer at a football game at the end of the month.
Wow! That was a lot to post! It has been such a fun summer & I really do love having the kids home with me.
