Dallin's birthday!
Dallin turned 7 the day before school got out. It was a super fun day for him. The whole first grade went to the park for a few hours to have lunch and play games, which he loved. Once they returned to the school they had treats for Dallin's bday. I sent chocolate dipped rice krispy treats. After school he had his friend, Christian, come play for a couple hours. For dinner we had a gigantic feast. I wish I got pictures, darn it! Dallin's request was the flautas from Costco. Easy, just pop them in the oven. But then I decided to invite my parents over (which includes Bay & Becka and Pop) and I had only bought 1 pack of flautas. I made 2 dishes on chicken enchiladas, one in red sauce, one in green sauce, Spanish rice, beans, pineapple, a veggie tray, salsa & guacamole. I think I gained like 5 lbs just that night. Dallin's request for his cake was an Avengers cake made from white cake with cookies and cream ice cream inside. I am so not a cake decorator, but am excited with how his cake turned out. I do wish I could have got the colors a little brighter, but that just wasn't going to happen.
For his birthday he gets a trip to Legoland, just him and his dad. (though we don't know when that will happen since our lives are so busy. Probably middle of July or so) He also got some cool Legos and a fun Wii game.
I am so proud of this kid! He is amazing. Such a smart, talented, brave, kind, loving, sincere little boy. I really lucked out with having him as my oldest.
Dallin's favorites at 7:
Food: Pizza,
Dessert: cookies n cream ice cream,
Color: blue,
Activity: watch T.V., play Wii, go swimming,
Friends: Joshua, Michael,
Books: Magic Tree house (he's on #13)
