Baby Reese

Reese is about 4 1/2 months and I really haven't done nearly enough blogs about her. I'm pretty sure I have only done one so I guess it's about time for another. Reese is THE sweetest baby EVER! She is so easy! She rarely cries and when she does it's because she is way over-due for a nap. Or has really bad gas. But that's it. She is so smiley and fun. She squeals and is very vocal and it just melts me. I love this baby so much! She started sleeping about 10-11 hours straight at night around 10 weeks, mostly because she is a thumb sucker. I love thumb suckers. Reese has the most hair at this age than any of my other kids. And it pretty much looks like a rug at this point. Or an Emo cut. She is also my smallest baby at this point, which is funny because she's still not a "small" baby. She is the most sought after baby that has ever graced our Sunday family gatherings. My siblings seem to fight over who gets to hold her, especially my brothers, which has never happened with any other baby. She is seriously just so sweet that everyone wants to love on her. I could hold her all day and be happy. She is so loved in this home and there are definite arguments over who gets to hold her. Her brothers and sister are so good with her and love her so much. Ok, now for the stats...

2 week appointment on 11/26/12
Height: 20 1/2 inches
Weight: 9 lb. 5 oz.

2 month appointment on 1/11/13
Height: 23 inches
Weight: 13 lb. 4 oz.
She was in the 95th percentile for height and weight at this visit

4 month appointment on 3/11/13
Height: 24 1/2 inches
Weight: 14 lb. 3 oz.
At this visit she was in the 50th percentile for both height and weight. I have never had a kid this small! And the Dr. was impressed that we made it this far without any illnesses. Woohoo! (and knock on wood)

Reese is rolling from back to tummy and would love to sleep on her tummy if I let her. The first time she rolled was on 2/25/13. She loves her exer-saucer. She is so strong and so alert. She loves to just hang out and observe everything going on around her. She is already starting to grab things and pull them to her mouth. (like her toes or my fingers or toys) She seems pretty coordinated and I wouldn't be surprised if she was my earliest crawler. She loves to spit and blow raspberries. She goes through phases where she will be spitting pretty much all day long and her shirt will just be soaked. It's actually really cute and funny. She is a very loud nurser also. It's gotten better but when she was a newborn she sounded like a cat purring and meowing while gulping milk. Now she just gulps. This little baby traveled so much within the first couple months of her life...to Arizona, Utah and Big Bear and was a pleasure to carry along the whole time. I am so happy this sweet little spirit has joined our family. I really feel blessed.

She's a doll! So sweet! Is she making you want to have 20 more? Or end on a high note? ;-)
